2027 Sponsorship Process

OCP is introducing a new process for sponsor participation at the 2027 OCP Global Summit.

Beginning November 2, 2026, the sponsor application process will be conducted entirely online and will no longer take place onsite during the current Summit. Physical submission forms are being discontinued in favor of a streamlined virtual experience.

A dedicated submission link will be open for three weeks. During that window, interested organizations are invited to apply by completing a short questionnaire.

When reviewing and allocating sponsorship opportunities, OCP considers a number of factors, including:

  • Previous participation in OCP events as a sponsor
  • OCP membership status
  • Volunteer leadership roles
  • OCP Contributions
  • Products and services on the OCP Marketplace
  • Participation in project calls
  • Attendance at OCP events
  • Overall engagement within the OCP Community

This updated process is designed to ensure a fair, transparent, and community-driven approach to sponsorship selection. The application form will be posted on this page on November 2.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is our application calculated?
Applications are calculated as a weighted score based on factors including but not limited to: previous participation in OCP events as a sponsor, current OCP membership status, participation in project calls, OCP contributions, volunteer leadership roles, products listed on the OCP Marketplace, and overall engagement within the OCP Community.
Can we see our rank or score?
No. Organizations’ ranks/scores are not shared externally. The factors used to calculate your application are shared for transparency, but specific results remain internal to the Foundation:
  • Previous participation in OCP events as a sponsor
  • OCP membership status
  • Volunteer leadership roles
  • OCP Contributions
  • Products and services listed on the OCP Marketplace
  • Participation in project calls
  • Attendance at OCP events
  • Overall engagement within the OCP Community
How do we increase our chances of getting a booth?
Increase your chances by staying active across the factors above: maintain OCP membership, participate regularly in project calls, contribute to OCP, take on volunteer leadership roles, list your products and services on the OCP Marketplace, and stay engaged with the broader OCP Community.
Why weren’t we selected for a booth?
Booth allocation is based on the process described above. Your organization’s final result, relative to other applicants this cycle, fell outside the number of available booth slots.

Program Updates

What’s changing this year

Sessions become add-ons

Executive Sessions (20 min – $10k) and Expo Hall Sessions (15 min – $10k) are no longer included in booth packages. They’re now add-on options — Executive Sessions for Diamond and Emerald sponsors, Expo Hall Sessions for Diamond, Emerald, and Ruby sponsors. Available until the limit is reached.

Meeting rooms move to local hotels

Meeting rooms are no longer included in sponsor packages. With the Summit’s continued growth, all convention center space is needed for Summit programming. OCP will instead connect top-level sponsors with local hotels to book private space directly.

Are you a new sponsor? Are you new to OCP? Please see below!

OCP is an open-source collaborative foundation, so membership isn’t required to participate in the Community — and we encourage every new potential sponsor to start by actively contributing before anything else. The OCP Community isn’t a marketing channel; you get out of it what you put into it, and it’s not about money. It all starts with getting your engineers involved in the Projects — listening in on the regular calls to understand the challenges our Community is solving, and finding ways your company can help solve them. This is where you build trust, and preference for future OCP Summit booths goes to members and organizations who are active and established in the Community, so the time to start is now.

Here’s a quick rundown of how to get involved:

  1. Subscribe to the OCP Newsletter (twice monthly) Sign up here — see what the Community is talking about.

  2. Explore our Project Communities Browse projects — each one includes public meetings, mailing lists, and volunteer-led workstreams.

  3. Join project calls as a listener – Have your engineers attend the calls relevant to your business to see the challenges our Community is working through. It’s a great way to pick up on meeting structure, technical discussions, and community culture.

  4. Attend OCP Events — membership is not required See upcoming events, including workshops, regional events, and OCP Summits.

For more on building your brand within the OCP Community, check out this short video and the accompanying slides.

Once you’re ready to submit a contribution, produce a whitepaper, take on a leadership role, or list a product in the OCP Marketplace, membership will be required — you can find those details here.
