The 2024 OCP EMEA Regional Summit was a huge success and our largest EMEA event to date, with 725 people joining us in Lisbon, Portugal! Thank you to our amazing Members, Sponsors, Partners, Volunteers and Community!
Content Highlights
The OCP Regional Summit in Europe serves as a platform where technical and business leaders from EMEA come together to tackle crucial issues related to data center sustainability, energy efficiency, and heat reuse. The focus is on exploring how innovations from hyperscale data center operators can contribute to solving these challenges. The Summit also highlights deployments of specific OCP-recognized data center equipment in the EMEA region.
The key areas of emphasis for 2024 included Data Center Sustainability, AI, Security & Data Protection, Power & Cooling, and Deployments. Additionally, invited talks dove into topics such as quantum technology, optics and telecommunications. Participants learned how innovations within the OCP Community are pivotal in developing and implementing a sustainable and scalable computational infrastructure for the future.
The OCP Community leadership arranged 9 dynamic Breakout Session tracks, included 3 Special Focus Tracks: OpenRAN, Optics for AI Clusters, and Quantum. We also spent a half day on AI.
The Summit featured an impressive 191 speakers across 284 sessions. Stordis also hosted a colocated workshop on SONiC.
The Future Technologies Symposium focused on Sustainability in Data Centers and AI/HPC, and featured several technology demonstrations in the expo hall. Click here to read more.
