The 2026 OCP EMEA Summit (Leading the Future of AI) was a huge success and our largest EMEA event to date, with 2,110 people joining us in Barcelona, Spain! Thank you to our amazing Members, Sponsors, Partners, Volunteers and Community!

Content Highlights
The OCP EMEA Summit in Europe serves as a platform where technical and business leaders from EMEA come together to tackle crucial issues related to data center sustainability, energy efficiency, and heat reuse. The focus is on exploring how innovations from hyperscale data center operators can contribute to solving these challenges. The Summit also highlights deployments of specific OCP-recognized data center equipment in the EMEA region.
The key areas of emphasis for 2026 were AI and Cloud Data Centers, delivering in the next wave of AI: Inference in hyperscale adjacent data centers, Security & Data Protection, data center power & cooling and deployments of OCP Recognized equipment in EMEA data centers. Additionally, invited talks dove into topics such as Quantum Technology, and Photonics. Participants came together to move forward the OCP Community’s role in developing and implementing a sustainable and scalable computational infrastructure for the future in Europe.
The OCP Community leadership arranged 12 dynamic Breakout Session tracks, including two Special Focus Tracks: Photonics and Quantum.
The Summit featured an impressive 325 speakers across 190 sessions. There was also a half-day colocated workshop hosted by The SONiC Foundation and STORDIS.
The OCP Future Technologies Symposium focused on AI/HPC, Sustainability in Data Centers, and Quantum. The competition for the best FTS paper with a $10,000 prize was awarded to Rittal and Vision Electric Super Conductors for their paper titled “Meeting AI Power Density at Scale: Superconducting Distribution for Multi-MW Data Halls.”
