Product Details

Delta’s 2MW In-Row CDU is engineered to Google’s Project Deschutes 5 specification and contributes to the open ecosystem through the Open Compute Project. Delivering up to 2 MW of cooling capacity for next-generation direct-to-chip liquid cooling environments, the solution enables hyperscale and AI data centers to deploy high-density computing with confidence. Built on an open and published architecture, the CDU seamlessly integrates into OCP-aligned deployments, providing customers with greater flexibility, interoperability, and long-term infrastructure freedom without vendor lock-in.

Key technical highlights
• 2 MW @ 3 °C ATD
• 500 GPM (1,893 LPM) | 80–90 PSI (551 – 621 kPa) available pressure
• N+1 seal-less pumps | fully redundant power feeds for each pump circuit
• IEEE 519 ultra-low harmonic (ULHD) variable frequency drives
• 230 VAC convenience port for fill cart
• 0.2 µm side-stream filtration

Featuring N+1 seal-less pump redundancy and fully redundant power feeds for each pump circuit, the system maintains uninterrupted coolant delivery even in the event of a pump or power-source failure. This robust architecture helps ensure mission-critical AI workloads remain protected and operational.
To further enhance long-term reliability, the CDU incorporates continuous side-stream filtration, protecting cold plates from particulate contamination and minimizing the risk of flow restriction. The result is consistent coolant quality, optimized thermal performance, and reduced maintenance requirements throughout the system lifecycle.

Project Deschutes 5 demonstrates Delta’s end-to-end engineering capabilities, from concept development and design validation to high-volume manufacturing. Every CDU undergoes rigorous quality assurance processes, including automated full-function testing and helium leak detection, ensuring dependable field performance from day one. Backed by more than 25 years of expertise in thermal management and high-efficiency power technologies, Delta continues to innovate solutions that evolve alongside rapidly advancing AI and accelerated computing platforms, helping customers stay prepared for future generations of infrastructure.

With a worldwide footprint of 165 sales offices, 55 manufacturing facilities, and 73 R&D centers, Delta offers customers the unique combination of local engineering support and global production capacity.
