Semi-Private Workstreams
Get involved
About This Project
Semi-Private Workstreams consist of "Contributor" organizations (members that have signed a Contribution License Agreement, or CLA), who are collaborating to jointly develop a specification.
Organizations that are interested in participating and providing feedback should fill out the form below. If the contributors have mutual interest, OCP staff will connect you to get your organization involved.
* Disclaimer: If invited to join a semi-private workstream, you or your organization must be OCP member in order to sign the OCP Feedback Agreement.
Fill out this form if you would like to join a Semi-Private Workstream

Details about the workstream’s mission, leadership, and ways to get involved will be added in the near future. Free eLearning on the topic is available on OCP Academy.
Hyper-scaler GPU
Hyperscaler GPU is a semi-private (CLA) Workstream under the OCP Hardware Management Project, which defines a small, stable set of tools for remotely managing machines at scale. Semi-private workstreams are groups of Contributor organizations, OCP members that have signed a Contribution License Agreement, collaborating to jointly develop a specification. Organizations interested in participating can request to join through the OCP Semi-Private Workstreams form. Details about the workstream’s mission, scope, leadership, and deliverables will be added in the near future.
Hyperscaler CPU
Hyperscaler CPU is a semi-private (CLA) Workstream under the OCP Hardware Management Project, which defines a small, stable set of tools for remotely managing machines at scale. Semi-private workstreams are groups of Contributor organizations, OCP members that have signed a Contribution License Agreement, collaborating to jointly develop a specification. The Storage Project has published the NVMe Project OCP L.O.C.K. (NVMe Key Management) specification, currently at v1.1. Participation is by invitation through the OCP Semi-Private Workstreams process. Details about the workstream’s mission, scope, and deliverables will be added in the near future.
Open Adapter Card
Resources Relying on a belief that AI inference and small/medium size language models represent the next big hardware wave for Enterprise and Edge AI it is clear that a solution is needed to fill the gap between traditional PCI CEM form factor adapters and the largely unbound rackscale deployments powering many of today’s mega-watt racks; […]
Open Boot and Management Framework
Open Boot and Management Framework (OBMF) is a workstream under the OCP Hardware Management Project. The OCP Hardware Management Project defines a small, stable set of tools for remotely managing machines at scale. Workstream materials are hosted on the OBMF GitHub wiki. Details about the workstream's mission, scope, leadership, and ways to get involved will be added in the near future.
Open Boot and Management Framework (CLA)
The Open Boot and Management Framework (OBMF) Workstream is a semi-private (CLA) workstream under the OCP Hardware Management Project. It is producing a specification that prescribes the DC-SCM interface, or recommended physical interfaces, and a standardized protocol for boot, configuration, and runtime communication between the Host Processor Module and the Baseboard Management Controller on the DC-SCM module. The protocol is designed to be CPU-vendor and physical-interface agnostic, reusable for devices such as PCIe and CXL cards, extensible through vendor extensions, and aligned with OCP, DMTF, and SPDM standards. Published documents include the OBMF-ICP Specification v0.7.1 and OBMF-ICP over USB v1.0.
Product Category Rule Project – for Datacenter Equipment
The Product Category Rule Project for Datacenter Equipment (PCRP) is a semi-private (CLA) Workstream under the OCP Sustainability Project, which works to enable the data center industry’s progress toward net-carbon-zero goals and offers an open framework and resources for vendors, suppliers, and end users to deploy best practices for reusability and circularity. Organizations interested in participating can request to join through the OCP Semi-Private Workstreams form. Details about the workstream’s mission, scope, and deliverables will be added in the near future.
