The Pivoting Blind Mate Coupling (PBMC) is a quick coupling developed within the Open Compute Project (OCP) as an open-standard blind-mate solution.
The PBMC supports radial and angular misalignment, as well as distance variations, and provides high-flow performance within a fixed-installation design, eliminating unwanted backend motion while maintaining the angular and radial flexibility required for reliable blind-mate engagement. Designed to handle high radial and angular misalignment, it ensures reliable self-centering – even under pressure – for fast, repeatable, and leak-free connections. The socket is securely mounted in racks or manifolds, while the plug aligns automatically during connection. With robust construction and high flow capacity, the PBMC delivers reliable performance in demanding liquid cooling environments. Compatible with Parker and Safeway PBMC couplings.
