Future Technologies Symposium–Call for Papers
The Call for Papers for the 2026 OCP Global Summit Future Technologies Symposium (FTS) is now closed.
Potential presenters are invited to provide a two-page paper in IEEE format for review. Submissions will undergo an evaluation process by the FTS committee, resulting in either a conditional acceptance for a presentation and poster, a poster-only acceptance, or a rejection.
Submission and Approval Process
- Initial Drafts: Authors of conditionally accepted papers must provide a complete draft of their presentation and poster. Those with poster-only status must submit a draft of their poster.
- Review and Feedback: These drafts will be assessed for alignment with the original paper and overall consistency, with feedback provided to all submitters.
- Finalization: Following feedback, presenters and poster-only authors will refine their materials and submit revised versions for final review. Only those materials receiving final approval will be featured at the OCP Global Summit’s Future Technologies Symposium.
There will be a $10,000 US prize awarded to the best paper, judged by the FTS program committee based upon the following criteria:

Future Technologies Symposium Sessions Acceptance Criteria:
- Report on innovative and impactful engineering or scientific results for technology that is projected to be 2-5 years out in the following categories:
- AI/HPC
- Data Center Sustainability
- Future Tech from Complementary Communities
- Must not be commercial or contain confidential information
- Speakers must commit to travel to San Jose, CA for the live, in-person event and cover their own travel expenses
- Must meet submission deadlines outlined below
Important Deadlines:
- May 13, 2026 – Call for Papers Opens
- June 15, 2026 – Call for Papers Deadline
- Week of July 13, 2026 – Speakers/Authors Notified – Accept or Reject
- August 24, 2026 – Draft Posters and Presentations Due to OCP
- August 25 – September 7, 2026 – Review Period
- September 14, 2026 – Final Posters Due
- September 28, 2026 – Final Presentations Due
- October 14, 2026 – FTS at the OCP Global Summit in San Jose, CA
Please note:
- The 2026 OCP Global Summit and Future Technologies Symposium is an in-person event only. Live streaming or remote presentation is not supported for this event.
- Acceptance of a Paper does not guarantee a speaking engagement of any sort.
- OCP Foundation and Project Leadership will review qualified presentations and selections will be determined by content and relevance. The OCP Foundation may accept or reject any presentation in its sole discretion at any time. OCP will treat all information you provide in accordance with our privacy policy. Content should not be commercial in nature and should not be proprietary or contain confidential information.
