First-Time Attendee Guide: OCP Global Summit

New to the OCP Global Summit? Here’s what you can expect!

It’s been a while since we’ve walked through the halls of a convention center. We can’t wait to see your faces again in-person in San Jose in November. If you are attending the OCP Global Summit for the first time, here are some helpful tips for navigating and networking with the Open community.

Explore

Our expo hall is packed with the latest open hardware gear. Don’t be shy, get your hands dirty!

Educate

Whether it’s large keynote sessions, or more intimate technical breakouts, we’ve got the content and collaboration you’re looking for!

Engage

Our Open Community has created a culture that’s friendly and welcoming. We are inclusive, Open for All, and encourage idea-sharing and collaboration.

Dress Code

The OCP Summit doesn’t have a strict dress code. But the typical attendee ranges from “smart casual” to business casual.

Travel

Check our travel page for the latest updates when it comes to any current guidelines or requirements for meetings. OCP cares about the safety of our attendees, and will be taking any and all safety precautions to ensure a secure and successful experience.

The closest airports to the San Jose Convention Center are Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO). SJC is only 5 miles away and SFO is about 35 miles northwest.

OCP has contracted rooms at several nearby hotels. Check here to make a reservation and take advantage of our discounted rates!

Food & Beverage

The OCP Global Summit provides the following for all our attendees: coffee, all-day beverages, lunch, afternoon snack (depending on day), and Opening Night Happy Hour - includes hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine and soft drinks. All meals are included in your registration fee.
