The Flex Secure Control Module (SCM) provides common server management, security, and control functions in a horizontal form factor module. The Flex SCM202B supports DC-MHS Host Processor Module (HPM) implementations supporting DC-SCI 2.1 Type 1 pinout. This new version of DC-SCM is designed to work with future generation Intel and AMD server CPUs.
The Flex SCM202B features a DC-SCM 2.1 compliant board with AST2600 BMC SoC, AST1060 RoT module, Infineon SLB 9672 TPM 2.0 module, redundant flash memory modules for BIOS and BMC, and accompanying OpenBMC management software. Typical use cases include managing server, storage, networking, and other applicable IT equipment that support a DC-SCI 2.1 connector interface between a Host Processor Module (HPM) and the Flex SCM202B.
The DC-SCM also comes with a DC-SCM Adapter Board (DAB), for BMC standalone operation. The DAB can be used to evaluate the DC-SCM software stack and testing the hardware components on the board. Software development teams can make use of the DAB card to develop upper layer software stack (Web GUI, Redfish, etc), without the need for a dedicated server chassis.
