PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The NVIDIA® ConnectX®-6 Dx is a highly advanced and secure smart network interface card (SmartNIC) specially designed to accelerate mission-critical applications within data centers. It excels in enhancing the performance of various operations, including security, virtualization, SDN/NFV, big data, machine learning, and storage. This SmartNIC offers exceptional Return on Investment (ROI), outperforming other similar solutions.
Empowered by leading-edge 50Gb/s (PAM4) and 25/10 Gb/s (NRZ) SerDes technology, the ConnectX-6 Dx comes equipped with innovative capabilities that significantly boost the efficiency of cloud and data center workloads.
ZERO-TRUST SECURITY
In today’s data-centric era, ConnectX-6 Dx adapters introduce advanced, in-built features that prioritize security at the endpoints, delivering unmatched performance and scalability:
- Crypto: Offers IPsec and TLS data-in-motion inline encryption and decryption offload, along with AES-XTS block-level, data-at-rest encryption and decryption offloads.
- Probes and DoS Protection: By offloading stateful connection tracking through NVIDIA ASAP2 – Accelerated Switch and Packet Processing® offload technology, ConnectX-6 Dx enables a hardware-based L4 firewall, effectively safeguarding against denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
- NIC Security: Provides hardware root-of-trust (RoT) secure boot and secure firmware update using RSA cryptography. Additionally, it includes cloning protection via a device-unique secret key.
ADVANCED VIRTUALIZATION
ConnectX-6 Dx facilitates the construction of highly efficient virtualized cloud data centers, thanks to the following features:
- Virtualization: ASAP2 delivers hardware offloads for virtual switch (vSwitch) and virtual router (vRouter), boasting performance levels significantly higher than software-based solutions. ConnectX-6 Dx ASAP2 supports both SR-IOV and VirtIO in-hardware offload capabilities, accommodating up to 8 million rules.
- Advanced Quality of Service (QoS): Incorporates traffic shaping and classification-based data policing, optimizing data management.
