As hyperscale data centers grapple with unprecedented power demands driven by AI and next-generation workloads, traditional power distribution networks are hitting significant physical challenges, even at 800V DC. High-Temperature Superconductors (HTS) represent a massive paradigm shift, offering near-zero electrical resistance and dramatic footprint reductions for power delivery.
This Open Compute Project (OCP) Workshop continues the technical conversation from this year’s EMEA Summit with leading HTS companies from film producers to integrators discussing the opportunities and challenges to delivering practical facility deployment. We will explore recent breakthroughs in HTS tape and cable manufacturing, scalable cryogenic cooling infrastructure, and the total cost of ownership (TCO) realities of building superconducting power backbones. Join us for a discussion that may shape the power distribution of the multi-Gigawatt data centers of tomorrow.
