Open Compute Project Foundation Announces Board Member Changes

The Open Compute Project Foundation (OCP) is excited to announce today that Brian Stein (Rackspace), will serve on its Board of Directors. Brian replaces John Engates, who has served for the last year as the Rackspace representative. We would like to thank John Engates for contributing his time and talents to the OCP Community. OCP saw many victories during his tenure as a Board member, and his leadership and vision will be missed.

Moving forward, OCP looks to build on these successes with the acceleration of the OCP Marketplace, which features orderable components, to drive adoption and influence the industry to proactively improve the technology value chain and accelerate the introduction of new technologies, including optics, security and edge computing. The OCP Marketplace saw a 48% increase in products in the fourth quarter of 2017 alone, with a healthy pipeline of new contributions from member companies leading into the new year.

The OCP Foundation is confident that together, we will soon reach new heights as an open-source community. Please join us in welcoming Brian Stein to the OCP Board of Directors!
