Pluribus Networks joins the OCP Solution Provider program with the release of their new line of OCP Accepted™ Freedom Series switches.

The growth of open networking continues among CSP’s and is rapidly moving into the enterprise space. Enterprises are looking for the flexibility and capex benefits that come with disaggregation of the hardware and software.

Hardware is just one component of this disaggregation equation, while the network operating system is vital to gain the versatility that open networking has to offer.

Pluribus Networks’ new line of Freedom Series switches combines their Linux-based Netvisor® ONE operating system and the Adaptive Cloud Fabric™ controllerless SDN software, with OCP Accepted™ switches to deliver high performance integrated open networking solutions. These Freedom Series switches contain the market-leading Broadcom StrataXGS® Trident 3 switch series silicon.. The 100G, 40G, 25G or 10G interface flexibility and 1 RU form factor allows a single switch to be leveraged for both leaf and spine deployment points in the data center architecture to simplify operations and reduce sparing costs.

●    Freedom 9432-C: Data Center Spine or Leaf Switch with 6.4 Tbps of throughput and 32x QSFP28 FlexPorts supporting 1x 40/100G, or 4x10G or 4x25G

●      Freedom 9476-V: Data Center Leaf Switch with 4 Tbps of throughput and either 48x25G or 36x25G + 12x10G/1G and 8x40G/100G or up to 7 ports configurable as 4x 10G/25G

●      Freedom 9460-X: Data Center Leaf Switch with 2.16 Tbps of throughput and 48x 10G/1G, 6x 40G/100G/ and up to 2 ports configurable as 4x10G/25G

Pluribus Networks has also extended their commitment to the Open Compute Project (OCP) Community by becoming a certified OCP Solution Provider (SP).  The OCP SP program is a channel program designed for those OCP members who provide a high level of support and services for OCP Accepted™ and OCP Inspired™ integrated solutions.

Mike Capuano, CMO, Pluribus Networks says, "In association with the Open Compute Project, we are pleased to announce that Pluribus is listing our OCP Accepted™ Freedom Series switches on the OCP Marketplace. Our goal is to promote open networking technologies and increase access to our solutions and to make it easier to do business with Pluribus".

The addition of Pluribus Networks to the OCP SP program is another indication of how OCP is engaging beyond the underlying hardware to ensure enterprises have a broad selection of open networking integrated solutions.  We are excited to have them as a SP and please view the Pluribus Networks OCP Accepted™ switches on the OCP Marketplace here.
