Open BigCloud Symposium and OCP Workshop 2014

The Open BigCloud Symposium will bring together the brightest minds in industry, academia, and research to discuss the future of cloud computing and Big Data on May 7-8, 2014, at the University Texas - San Antonio. With Open Compute hardware, OpenStack software, and Software Defined Network (SDN) quickly gaining adoption around the world, the summit will feature presentations from Rackspace, Facebook, Gartner, Internet2, Argonne National Laboratory, University of Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), Virgina Tech, University of Notre Dame, and others.

The first day of the event, the University of Texas at San Antonio, together with the BigCloud Foundation, Internet2, and Open Compute Foundation, will celebrate the 1st North American Open Compute Laboratory with a focus on Open BigCloud.

The conference will explore bringing the Cloud to the Enterprise, models and benefits, Cloud Operation Model (DevOps), Open Technologies and best practices including software and hardware disaggregation, Cloud and BigData for Scientific and Engineering workloads. The conference is open by invitation only and will bring together researchers, academia, developers, and industry affiliates. The conference is free to attendees and will include coffee breaks and lunch. Registration is required.
