OCP 2016-2018 Project Lead Elections - Testimonial Phase Open

The Testimonial Phase of the OCP 2016-2018 Project Lead Elections is now open and the Foundation would like to thank all the nominees.

In 2013 we moved to a community election model for our volunteer leadership and to date this is our largest group of nominees.  This is a testament to our active and collaborative community.  We look forward to seeing what the future holds and how this next group of project leads will collaborate with the OCP Incubation Committee, the OCP Foundation and their respective project communities to help drive consumption of, collaboration in and contribution the OCP ecosystem.

The testimonial phase of the election gives each nominee or team of nominees the opportunity to have their supporters offer public endorsement.  Starting today, 28 June through 11 July you will be able to add a testimonial endorsement for the nominees of your choice. To add a testimonial you will need to go to the page of the person you wish to endorse and add your support for that nominee to the comment box.  Only those nominees who are running for a project seat that requires a vote have pages.  You will not be able to add a testimonial for those who are running unopposed.

UPDATE: If you do not have a Facebook account and you wish to leava a testimonial, please email the testimonial to the OCP mailing list that corresponds with the OCP Project Lead nominee you wish to endorse.  Example if you want to endorse someone running for the Networking Project Lead seat then you would post to the OCP Networking Project mailing list. You will also need to email elections@opencompute.org so we can look for your endorsement and link to it when we repost it the nominees page.

The following 4 project lead seat nominees are running unopposed and will NOT require a community vote. You will not be able to leave a testimonial for these nominees.

  • C&I - Asim Rasheed (IXIA) and David Woolf (UNH-IOL) (update: Asim and David have decided not to run against one another, but to co-lead the C&I group together)
  • HPC - Devashish Paul (IDT) and Manoj Roge (Xilinx)

  • Hardware Management - Bernie Meier (Ericsson) and Norman James (IBM)

  • Open Rack  - Brian Obernesser (Fidelity) and Steve Mills (Facebook)

The following 5 project lead seat nominees will require a vote.  You will be able to leave a testimonial for these nominees.  If there is no link with a nominees name, that means we are still waiting for their information.
