Billy Cox of Intel to Keynote OCP European Summit 2014


The OCP Foundation is pleased to announce Billy Cox of Intel as one of our featured keynote speakers for the OCP European Summit 2014.

Billy is leading a business group delivering innovative software products ranging from using the platform capabilities to implement a service level objective (SAA), to software for the next generation server platform (rack scale architecture), and software to implement the next generation of data centers: Software Defined Infrastructure. In this role, Billy leads teams that implement innovative business and technology development methods to aggressively pursue opportunities in the technology and market.

Prior to his current role, Billy led the Cloud software strategy efforts. In leading the cloud software activities at Intel, Billy helped found and co-chair the DMTF Cloud Incubator (now the CMWG), works actively with the visible and emerging cloud sw ecosystem.

Prior to joining Intel, Billy was Director of Systems Engineering at HP. During his 14 years at HP, he was responsible for the development of all infrastructure management tools used to manage the various server and storage platforms. In his 30+ years of industry experience, Billy has led the design of compute, network, and storage solutions and actively participated in multiple standards efforts.
