Announcing the Newly Elected OCP Incubation Committee

The Foundation would like to express a sincere thank you to all those members of the OCP Incubation Committee (IC) who were appointed by the Foundation Board of Directors and served on the IC from it’s inception.  These early pioneers and supporters of the project have built the groundwork for how we review and adopt all the amazing contributions our community gives us.

Our thanks and appreciation also go to all those who participated by running for an IC seat. This election is another important milestone in the transition to a peer elected leadership format which is a core tenant of the Open Compute Project.

There were seven OCP IC seats open for this round of elections. The Chair and Vice-Chair positions remain appointed by the board.  Only 2 of the 7 seats required a vote for this election: Hardware Management and Networking.  The results of those votes were as follows:

HARDWARE MANAGEMENT:

Chilung Wang will replace Stephen Rousset

NETWORKING:

Kushagra Vaid will replace Lakshmi Mandyam

Please join the Foundation in welcoming the 2014-2015 OCP IC Members.

The IC meets every six weeks to review and vote on new contributions to the Foundation. It helps shape new projects by working closely with the OCP Project Chairs to provide guidance and feedback on all hardware and software contributions to the Foundation.

Upcoming elections - Project Leads

On July 7th we will open up the nomination phase for the Project Leads.  If you or your organization are interested in participating in this election and want to know more about Tiered Membership or the election process, please let us know.
